Hello!
I’m a 21-year-old web developer looking for new challenges.
I can
-
write in
-
JavaScript
Fairly familiar with the newer syntax (e.g. arrow functions, promises, classes). Still discovering the nuances.
-
HTML
Focus on semantic & accessible structure, knowledge of common tags and their use.
-
CSS
Grid/flexbox layouts, performance-friendly animations. Methodologies yet to learn.
-
Python
Used only during the first few courses (Harvard's CS50), along with PostgreSQL, Flask and Django.
-
-
work with
-
React
Basic concepts: props, state, lifecycle, refs, portals, React transitions.
-
Sass
Vars, mixins, loops, the general idea.
-
Git
Only fundamental commands needed to maintain my own code.
-
Figma
Constantly learning – just to visualize the idea before coding it.
-
-
speak
-
English
Fluently. No problem with reaching for English sources, be it written or spoken (such as lectures).
-
Polish
My mother tongue.
-
French
Currently elementary level.
-
I created
-
Grammechs
Overview
A blog-like platform to learn the French language through interaction. It is just an experiment, but feel free to click through a lesson or two (well, the current maximum is three) and perhaps learn a bit.
Made with React and Gatsby. Refs, portals, React transitions were used. And a bit of other stuff, such as a particles library.
-
Black Lotus
Overview
A website for a band that is as alternative as it is fake. And also fascinated by floral motifs.
Just HTML, CSS (preprocessed by Sass) and a bit of JS – one page suited for fictional band's needs.
-
Beach Business
Overview
Fight for dominance and outsmart the rivals in a game built on top of game theory.
Built with React & React-vis – my first approach to a framework.
-
Collage Ninja
Overview
My earliest work here, so it's a bit messy and cumbersome. It lets the users freely create their own collages with a single finger.
jQuery, EXIF parser and apart from that the standard trio: HTML, CSS, JS.
About me
I spent years writing prose. From creepypastas to short stories which were acknowledged in literary contests. But it was the source code that made me feel that the letters I write are somehow powerful.
As a child I encountered variables for the first time in Warcraft's III Map Editor. The next time was in 2018 when I decided to give Python a try on CodeAcademy.
Just a few weeks later I created my first piece of software. It computed Nash equilibrium. It looked awful... but you can check.
Later - thanks to Harvard's CS50 online courses - I dived deeper into web development.
Right now I am soon to start the last year of practical linguistics and copywriting at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
Even if it's not really about coding, I take it as an opportunity to explore topics related to the web: UX/UI, design and electronic literature.
